About the Partners – Tom Boisvert and Stephen Kniaz.

Tom’s background includes a degree in Electrical Engineering from Lowell Tech, construction of more than 2000 homes, and developing scores of subdivisions. Tom has a strong background in Commercial Construction as well, serving as a General Contractor of Hospitals, State Liquors stores and more. Tom is also a licensed Septic Installer.

Stephen’s background includes an MBA from Babson College, extensive experience in sales and marketing, development of subdivisions, and many years of residential construction including new, modular and major remodel. Stephen has more than 20 years’ experience as a kitchen and bath designer and remodeler.

Both Stephen and Tom are experienced in Adaptive Design and Aging in Place and Stephen is CAPS Certified. Black Birch Development Group, LLC is also an Approved VA Contractor, and in turn are authorized to work on “VA Grant Projects”. They also both actively take continuing educational courses and seminars, both to expand their knowledge and keep current with regulations and new products.

Black Birch offers Consultations Services in the areas of “highest and best” use of raw land, land development, and can guide clients through the approval process.
Black Birch also offer three lines of cabinetry, which they wholesale to other builders and clients.
